The premise for the organization of our most beautiful cruise, the Periplo della Sardegna, consists in several years spent navigating on our island’ sea, the experience and the commitment in the exploration of Sardinia, the discovery of every secret this land hides and the competence of a professional staff. This trip represents a sort of live documentary, the landscapes are characterized by contrasting colours, the fascination of the costs is always different, unpredictable. Images continually run one after the other; we will pass by secret bays, cliffs, historical towns and minor islands which small ports are located in evocative creeks. The sea give us the privilege to discover some beaches that are out of reach in every other way, while we can also enjoy the view of candid sand and rocky arches that distinguish the Golfo di Orosei. Our trip starts here, by following a seaway of 2000 km of landscapes of unpolluted nature. Heading towards north, the outline of Isola di Tavolara escorts us through the Passo delle Bisce, up to the archipelago of Maddalena and French islands. A quite bay hosts us during the night, sheltering us from the north-west wind. The trip goes on towards the soft sand of Budelli and the wind shaped rocks of Razzoli. After passing by the coast of Spargi, we arrive to the island of Asinara, where we are going to spend un unforgettable day in cross-country vehicle, by taking a wild path among mirth, juniper and lentisk bushes while we are surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation scents. After passing by Capocaccia we berth in Alghero, the Catalan town surrounded by Spanish walls. Walking down the streets of this town we will discover a different Sardinia. Navigating towards south, after the Malaspina castle that looks down to Bosa and the mouth of Temo’ river we come across an alternation of beaches, islands, cliffs and creeks, up to a hill where is located the ancient town of Tharros, which has been despoiled by Saracen freebooters. The boat sails near Piscinas’ dunes in Costa Verde or in Is Arenas, in the south west, where the old collieries appear in Sulcis’ coasts. In Carloforte the way of speaking from Liguria and the slaughter of tuna make this place different from the rest of the island, but, just after Capo Teulada and Capo Spartivento, we come across white beaches and green pools that surround the town of Cagliari where flamingos and other protected species live. After passing by Cagliari we head to north, towards Cavoli island and Serpentaro, after Capo di Monte Santo. Sailing in the small port of Cala Gonne, the cliffs of the Golfo di Orosei appear again. Dovesesto has offered you two weeks of strong feelings and emotions and and the wish to come back. We advise some other routes in the east cost, the archipelago of Maddalena, Corsic, Balearic and Tunisia. It is possible to plan personalizes journeys with Dovesesto.
